NYU Steinhardt mourns the loss of Clive Robbins, research scientist and founding director of NYU's Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy. He died on December 7, 2011.
The Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre is once again offering a range of professional development workshops in 2012. Please see the attached flyer for details and enrolment form. Early enrolment is advised as spaces are limited.
The RMTC needs to fundraise for 80 percent of its income, and about $400,000 each year. That is why your donation is so important to us. Your generous support enables us to keep delivering music therapy and for us to plan to see even more children in the future.
We often need support with administrative or other duties, such as keeping our website up to date and help with events and appeals. And we are always grateful to receive instruments, furniture, stationery, etc. If you are interested in donating your time, just fill in the volunteer application and authorisation to disclose information forms below, and send or drop it in to us.
Give us a ring on (09) 360 0889 if you can help.
We have a small team of volunteers who work alongside the music therapists, assisting in weekly music therapy sessions. Volunteers need to make a firm commitment to work with us for a minimum of one term (10 weeks), and must go through training. If you are interested in volunteering, just fill in the volunteer application and the authorisation to disclose information forms below, and send or drop it in to us.
As a relatively new charity we still need to work hard to raise our profile. You can help by letting family, friends, colleagues, MPs, teachers, health professionals, the media, etc, know about the work we do. If you would like any promotional material to pass on to contacts, just give us a ring on (09) 360 0889
