Change the life of one child by contributing to the cost of their music therapy sessions.
It costs around $150 to run one music therapy session for a child or adult. Some parents are able to contribute fully, but the majority are not, so we ask parents to contribute whatever they are able to. In many cases, this is nothing.
Right now we are working with 22 children and young adults whose families are not able to contribute anything. We are currently subsidising these families but are not able to continue to do so indefinitely.
You can change the life of one of these children today by helping contribute to the cost of their music therapy sessions -$500 for one month, $1,000 for two months or for a longer period if you are able.

The RMTC needs to raise over $600,000 each year to continue to change the lives of so many young New Zealanders. That is why your support and donation are so important to us. Your generous support enables us to keep delivering music therapy both at our Centre in Grey Lynn as well as out in the wider commmunity via our Outreach work. We plan to see even more children and young people in 2013.
We often need support with administrative or other duties, such as keeping our website up to date and help with events and appeals. And we are always grateful to receive instruments, furniture, stationery, etc. If you are interested in donating your time, just fill in the volunteer application and authorisation to disclose information forms below, and send or drop it in to us.
Give us a ring on (09) 360 0889 if you can help.
We have a small team of volunteers who work alongside the music therapists, assisting in weekly music therapy sessions. Volunteers need to make a firm commitment to work with us for a minimum of one term (10 weeks), and must go through training. If you are interested in volunteering, just fill in the volunteer application and the authorisation to disclose information forms below, and send or drop it in to us.
Garage sales, mufti days, cakestalls, sponsored runs, swims, bikerides are all great ways to have some fun and raise funds to assist the work we do here at Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre. We have brochures and marketing materials we can provide for any event you would like to run and may also be able to provide an addiitonal pair or two of hands to help. So get a couple of friends together and put on your thinking caps and give either Jo or Carol a call on 09 360 0889.
As a relatively new charity we still need to work hard to raise our profile. You can help by letting family, friends, colleagues, MPs, teachers, health professionals, the media, etc, know about the work we do. If you would like any promotional material to pass on to contacts, just give us a ring on (09) 360 0889
