A wonderful one-off performance of Mozart being played on three grand pianos simultaneously is the latest fundraiser for the Raukatauri Centre.
Mozart's Concerto for Three Pianos is rarely performed because of the logistics of getting three grand pianos on one stage, so this is a chance for the audience to experience something very special.
The concert, on 30 March at the Raye Freedman Arts Centre in Epsom, will utilize the talent of three excellent soloists from Auckland University, backed by the "The Auckestra".
The RMTC needs to fundraise for 80 percent of its income, and about $400,000 each year. That is why your donation is so important to us. Your generous support enables us to keep delivering music therapy and for us to plan to see even more children in the future.
We often need support with administrative or other duties, such as keeping our website up to date and help with events and appeals. And we are always grateful to receive instruments, furniture, stationery, etc.
Give us a ring on (09) 360 0889 if you can help.
We have a small team of volunteers who work alongside the music therapists, assisting in weekly music therapy sessions. Volunteers need to make a firm commitment to work with us for a minimum of one term (10 weeks), and must go through training. If you are interested in volunteering, just fill in the volunteer application form below and drop it in to us.
As a relatively new charity we still need to work hard to raise our profile. You can help by letting family, friends, colleagues, MPs, teachers, health professionals, the media, etc, know about the work we do. If you would like any promotional material to pass on to contacts, just give us a ring on (09) 360 0889
