OPEN DAY - 1 September 2011

In the past seven years, hundreds of children have experienced the life-changing effects of music therapy through the work of the Raukatauri charity.  We would love you to join us on the first day of Spring to help celebrate their stories of transformation.

Following on from the successful inaugural Open Day in 2010, this year we will be expanding the programme to include more of the presentations and case studies that were so well received last year.

Our team at Raukatauri are passionate about their work, and promise to deliver informative and authoritative talks throughout the afternoon on working with children with autism, learning difficulties, behavioural problems, and physical and intellectual disabilities. Included in the presentations will be footage of music therapy sessions, input from teachers and parents, and question and answer sessions.

The programme for the day includes:

2pm onwards         Afternoon Tea

2.30pm - 5.00pm  Talks every half hour

5.00pm - 6.00pm  Live music, drinks and nibbles, and a chance to mix and mingle.
