Holly McPhee

Registered Music Therapist
Northland Regional Centre

Holly was born in Otago, and grew up in the Catlins where she discovered a love of music and harmony singing. She went to Otago University in Dunedin to study Psychology and Voice Performance, and became involved with the New Edinburgh Folk Club, which developed her enthusiasm for folk and Celtic music and dance.

Following Holly’s undergraduate study she worked, travelled, performed, and did small musical projects for a couple of years before deciding to move to Wellington to study music therapy at Victoria University. While receiving her Master’s Degree she has enjoyed working with teens and adults with disabilities, and young children of a range of abilities.

Holly enjoys Lindy Hop and Rock and Roll dancing, cycling whenever possible, and the challenge of low-waste living.
