Volunteer

Interested in a career in music therapy or just love being around people and music? Volunteering at the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre gives you first hand access to our unique service and is a wonderful way to help our organisation.

Volunteers carry out a number of tasks such as:

• Administrative jobs

• Room set up and pack down

• Manning reception

• Instrument cleaning

• Assistance at events

As well as being an incredibly rewarding role, volunteers also have access to our music therapy library which is one of the largest in New Zealand.

We ask that volunteers make a firm commitment to work with us for a minimum of one term (10 weeks) and ideally attend the Centre for at least one hour per visit. They are given an induction and training before starting and are fully supported by our team during their time with us. We do also take applications from people only able to offer support for special events.

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill in the volunteer application form and then return to us via post, email or drop it in to us at the Centre along with the requested supporting materials. We require that all of our volunteers pass a Police Vet, and have an up-to-date My Vaccine Pass. Once your application has been received we will be in touch to schedule an interview.
