She holds a Master of Music Therapy from Te Herenga Waka- Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Music and Commerce from University of Auckland (Waipapa Taumata Rau).
Sandy's passion for music therapy grew from witnessing the profound impact music can have on people's lives. Through her work as a professional violinist and violin teacher, she witnessed the powerful impact music can have in bringing people together, building confidence, fostering meaningful connections and creating moments of joy. These experiences inspired her to pursue music therapy, combining her love of music with a passion for supporting the wellbeing of others. Sandy believes that every person has a unique relationship with music and enjoys tailoring sessions to each individual's strengths, interests, and goals.
When she's not working, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and continues to share her love of music by performing with friends for the community.
